There aren’t many chances to see a white alligator! Features a 400,000-gallon, 17-foot tall tank of sharks, turtles, and stingrays. The Mississippi River gallery has catfish, paddlefish, and the aforementioned white alligator. There is also a world-class insectarium (with a butterfly garden), a Gulf of Mexico exhibit, and Amazon and Caribbean environments that features colorful birdlife, a 30 ft. glass tunnel, piranhas, anacondas, and more. You can even scuba dive into the Great Maya Reef habitat!

NEW ORLEANS HOP-ON HOP-OFF BUS TOUR
A great way to experience all parts of the city! Michael & Anja did this on one of their first visits. There are stops all over the city to stop and explore, and the guides provide fun entertainment and interesting details you wouldn’t otherwise learn. It’s also great when you want to rest your feet after walking all over. You can buy a day-pass, or multi-day pass, to take advantage. We’d do it again for sure!
A national landmark and visitor favorite. View the breathtaking backdrop of St. Louis Cathedral while listening to local musicians perform. Stroll the surrounding area that is filled with local vendors of handmade goods and local entertainment.
Anja’s favorite area! 6 miles of shopping, food, and fun in the Garden District. There’s a wide mix of shops and restaurants including bakeries, vintage, novelty shops, grab-and-go, coffee, a crocodile museum, and so much more. Separated from the busy-ness of the French Quarter, and parallel to the beautiful St. Charles Avenue and its breathtaking oak trees, which are worth the visit in itself.
