Winter Wedding at The Preserve at Chorocua

Deidre and Brodie were high school sweethearts, and they dated on and off throughout college. They knew they would end up together though. Finally, during a sunny winter day, Brodie proposed on Mount Moosilauke! Deirdre is a close friend of mine, and I was so excited to be able to help with her wedding, both as her planner and her bridesmaid. Throughout the process, among other things, I helped them book vendors, create a design plan, and manage logistics. Plus, my assistant Margaret served as their day-of coordinator. It was an amazing day. Deirdre and Brodie’s intimate wedding at The Preserve at Chocorua was so cozy, romantic, and joyful.

A Gorgeous New Hampshire Wedding Venue

The couple chose the location because it is nearby their proposal location, and they loved the idea of creating a weekend experience for guests. This was a great decision because The Preserve is a gorgeous location with tons of different options for couples.

The Preserve at Chocorua is such a cozy, intelligently designed retreat. It felt like a mini getaway, even for New Hampshire natives. Guests spent Friday through Sunday in the farmhouse that has a mix of quaint guest rooms and common spaces throughout the first level. The groom's parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner where family, friends, and the wedding party sat together reminiscing on past memories, playing board games, and sharing lots of laughs.

Intimate Wedding at The Preserve at Chocorua

The morning of the wedding was quiet but filled with anticipation. While the wedding party was getting ready, a light dusting of snow covered the property, creating a blanket of white just in time for the ceremony. The bridesmaids wore the same Juniper tone, but they each got to pick a dress based on their personal style. Meanwhile, the bride wore a gorgeous sheath gown with a lace top. Not to be outdone, Brodie wore a monochromatic, textured/patterned suit that was super snazzy.

Deirdre's nephew, Colby, walked Deirdre down the aisle with a bubble gun, which I thought was so much fun! Deirdre and Brodie said 'I do' in the Sap House before tackling photos in the frigid, windy weather. The photographer, Robin Easler, was a trooper in getting photos done quickly in the cold weather!

Guests moved into the Barn for an intimate reception. Simple table arrangements encouraged conversation and created a warm environment with candlelight and earth tones, with a casual dining experience of tasty flatbreads and fresh baked pies for dessert. Deirdre’s nephew stole the show again during the Maid of Honor's toast (his mom and Deirdre's sister). He took the mic and told the crowd that he loved everyone!

Deirdre and Brodie’s dogs, Kenobi and Moose, also spent the weekend onsite. They got to freely explore The Preserve and join in on the reception.

I loved being able to work with my close friends and help deliver their perfect day at The Preserve at Chocorua. I’d love to help you do the same! Reach out me, so I can learn all about your vision for your wedding day!
