Intimate Bar Harbor Wedding

Dana and Jeff are both from New Jersey, but Jeff has family in MA. After getting engaged, they decided on a national park wedding. When they visited Bar Harbor, they fell in love with the location and decided to get married there! This couple did not want a cookie-cutter wedding but rather wanted to create an experience for their guests. It was such a great time doing wedding management for Dana and Jeffrey, and we’re so glad we get to share this intimate Bar Harbor wedding with you!

A Gorgeous Maine Wedding Venue

Dana and Jeff got married at Sol’s Cliff House in Bar Harbor, and this venue is sooo gorgeous. It’s an old mansion that used to be occupied by a writer who owned an impressive book collection. The home sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean and is next to Acadia National Park, making it the perfect venue for Dana and Jeff. It’s twelve acres of amazing scenery and incredible views. This couple took advantage of every space in the house and encouraged guests to explore the home during cocktail hour, which took place in multiple rooms.

Intimate Bar Harbor Wedding

The couple held their ceremony in the front, surrounded by trees and custom flower towers by Salt Farm Flowers. It was such a lovely ceremony. Jeff walked down the aisle with Cha Cha, their adorable pup. (We love it when couples involve their pets!) Then, Dana’s two best friends officiated the wedding.

Dinner was also a gorgeous affair, with one long king’s table for all forty-five guests. The florist set the table, and it was a beautiful job. There was a custom hors d’oeuvre menu from Bar Harbor Catering, and of course, a signature cocktail named after Cha Cha called the Chacharita! During dinner, Dana and Jeff made remarks themselves, along with each of the couple’s siblings. Jeff’s brother had people laughing hysterically!

Dana and Jeff used national park postcards as their guestbook and asked guests to write notes in them along with passing around disposable cameras so guests could take fun photos! After dinner, they held dancing in the back of the house with a custom playlist that didn’t include your typical wedding music. But still, the guests had so much fun, and there was plenty of dancing!

Dana and Jeff didn’t want a cookie-cutter wedding, and they succeeded! Their intimate Bar Harbor wedding was a gorgeous day with amazing dΓ©cor and an incredible couple. If you’re planning your own unique wedding, we’d love to hear from you! We’re located in Dallas, but we’re always willing to travel for our couples.
