Waterfront Wedding in Portsmouth, NH

Min and Hunter’s wedding was a dream. Their waterfront wedding in Portsmouth, NH was full of luxurious and custom details. We packed that wedding with personalization and love while maintaining elegance and offering their guests an unforgettable evening of celebration. We were so happy to handle their wedding management and help give them the wedding of their dreams.

Personalized Wedding Details

This wedding really was full of personal details that showed Min and Hunter’s character and love for each other. It allowed them to tell their love story with such thoughtful care.

There were several nods to Hunter’s mother who had recently passed away. They held their waterfront wedding at the private yacht club owned by the groom’s father, and Bishop Hollingsworth, who had married Hunter’s parents years before, served as their officiant. They also used the same band as Hunter’s parents, and Min made her entrance by boat, just like Hunter’s mother did.

Meanwhile, they embraced Min’s culture through their custom menu, which was full of exquisite details with bold flavors. The cocktails, appetizers, buffet, and matcha cake all used traditional South Korean flavors. Everything was delicious! Not to mention, Min wore three outfits throughout the celebrations. On top of her wedding dress and party jumpsuit, she donned a traditional hanbok. And she looked gorgeous in all three.

Unique Wedding DΓ©cor

Min and Hunter are both engineers so the DIY at this wedding was incredible. They had wood lanterns, marquee lights, and Edison bulb lighting fixtures. As a couple, they designed all of this themselves, which created such a holistic and warm reception.

Min and I also worked closely together to design the tablescape and unique logistics for the day. The ceremony was held on the club’s pier as the ceremony aisle, and Hunter’s dad built a patio on the water that was used as a dance floor. For the tables, we combined the wood lanterns Min and Hunter created with greenery and pops of white and peach flowers. The amazing greenery chandeliers completed the look!

Min and Hunter’s waterfront wedding was the epitome of their love, and it told their story and their family’s story so well. Throughout the planning process, they embraced the changes that came from the pandemic (moving their plans from Lake Tahoe to Portsmouth), and the resulting wedding was just perfect.

We’ve moved our operation from New England to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but we’re still available for all types of unique and personal weddings, no matter where they are.
